What is a Learning Performance Partnership?
Our Partnerships are a long–term, whole school and holistic approach to raising achievement and inspiring a love of learning. We work with students, parents and staff throughout the academic year on three fundamental areas; metacognition, self–regulation/resilience and the whole child.
The Partnership is designed and tailored around you and only you.
What are the main aims of being a Partner School?
- Collaborate with and support your school to raise achievement and aspirations.
- Encourage and advocate a research-led approach to teaching and learning.
- Embed metacognition and resilience into the learning culture.
- Develop successful, independent and resilient learners who love to learn.
How do we achieve this?
We begin with a strategy meeting to identify the priorities and needs of your school. Together we will create a clear vision that is entwined with your Development Plan, ensuring the Partnership is part of the school’s direction and ethos. To empower action, we create a Learning Champion team who are a combination of respected influential senior leaders, classroom teachers and support staff. All this work is supported by our innovative online platform, the One Hub.
What is the One Hub?
Inspired by Sir Tim Brighouse’s quote, “you know when you are in a good school when teachers are talking about teaching”The One Hub, acts as an online staff room. It provides an opportunity for constructive discussions, the sharing of best practice and allows schools to provide constant CPD through our webinars, podcasts, research bulletins, presentations, and resources.
How do we ensure the Partnership is sustainable?
We want to provide a sustainable and scalable approach for schools that continue long after we have gone. That is why, our Partnerships are based on research, models for change, and the EEF’s evidence informed school improvement cycle. We also reward Partner Schools as they progress through our four stages of development and have plans in place for a school-led mentoring scheme!
Why become a Partner School?
With the shift towards linear exams the work we do to empower students with metacognitive strategies and resilience, while looking after their well-being, is going to be vital to raising attainment.
